Storia Royale Journeys
Seven Days in the Heart of Tuscany
Florence, Siena & the Val d'Orcia, Italy
Cypress-lined roads, medieval hill towns, Renaissance masterpieces, exceptional wine and the particular warmth of the Italian countryside. Tuscany at its most unhurried and most beautiful.
The Journey
The Journey
Tuscany is one of the world's great landscapes — a countryside shaped over centuries by human hands into something of extraordinary beauty. Rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves, walled towns and the art of Florence and Siena. Your base is a private villa selected for its position in the landscape, its grounds and its character. From here, a small group of approximately ten guests explores the region together — cities, hill towns, wineries, markets and the countryside — at a pace that allows genuine discovery.
Experiences
What You Will Experience
Florence
The Uffizi, the Duomo, the Accademia — Florence holds more of the world's great art than almost any other city. Private guided visits that go beyond the surface of the collections.
Siena & the Hill Towns
Siena, San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino — each a medieval world unto itself. Stone streets, market squares, towers and the long views over the Val d'Orcia.
Chianti & Brunello
The great wine estates of Chianti Classico and Montalcino — Brunello, Barolo, Vernaccia. Cellar visits, barrel tastings and long lunches at the estates with the producers.
Tuscan Cuisine
A private chef cooks from the produce of the region — pici, ribollita, bistecca Fiorentina, truffles, pecorino, local olive oil. Shared meals that are the heart of the journey.
The Val d'Orcia
A UNESCO World Heritage landscape — the cypress-lined roads, the rolling hills, the medieval towers of the Crete Senesi. One of the most photographed landscapes in the world, and one of the most beautiful.
Markets & Artisans
The markets of Arezzo, the truffle hunters of San Miniato, the leather workshops of Florence, the ceramicists of Montelupo — the living craft traditions of Tuscany.
